We are getting ready to start! We have our one last meal tonight on New Years, we are both going to get dressed up and have a Chinese feast at the Grand Imperial complete with crispy duck, champagne and most likely dessert! Its a fantastic Beijing style Chinese place in Victoria we have been to a few times now. It isn't too expensive, often has deals on and does great food. I very much recommend it, and it could well be my number one favorite posh Chinese restaurant in London (although wife may well dispute that!).
Expect some photos to follow of us in our starting conditions (me fat, her lazy!) and a little bit more about our respective goals and ambitions during these three months.
I think the first thing to note is that we are coming at this from very different places, Xuan Xuan cant run 100m without getting out of breath while I did half marathon last year, at the same time she looks fantastic, while I definitely don't!
As such our exercise programs within our three month framework will be quite different! Look out for more detailed posts on the design of workouts to follow in the future.
We also intend to provide lots of photos of all the lovely healthy food that Xuan Xuan will be cooking up (and me occasionally, but shes so much more talented in the kitchen department!). I hope that these photos will be an inspiration to us (and others) when we are craving fried things and potatoes!

Three month fitness
Hello all!
This Christmas I got fat...pretty damn fat. It was nice to stop all my activity for a bit and relax, I had a new office job, and an injury (more on that in the future). When I left to go back to my parents over Christmas I decided to take it easy, eat and sleep. So I got fat!
Furthermore my lovely wife has also put on weight, she still looks like a goddess (and always will) but has gone up two dress sizes in a year and wants to make some lifestyle changes. So together we have decided to do a proper three month health and fitness regime starting January 1st. The rules are simple and uncompromising:
1) All rules apply for three months, no exceptions or excuses
2) No alcohol, not a drop!
3) Healthy food, low carb, lots of vegetables and fish nothing with loads of sugar or fat
4) Daily cardio exercise
5) Weights 2x per week
6) If you have to snack its fruit and nuts only
There they are!
Simple and easy to follow...let the games begin!
